Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actress. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White in the AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other roles comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn was born in Sante Fe New Mexico, in 1968. Her passion for performing in Preparatory School prior to moving to Ohio with her family in the mid-70s. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and took classes in theatre at Northwestern University. Anna was working by the theater in the Chicago region for a couple of years prior to trying her hand at TV and film roles. Anna was chosen to play Arden on Down the Shore in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna played in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. In fact, it was not until the end of the 1990s when she landed a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood during two complete seasons. In 2008, she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully was the Deadwood film and other films were also starring her. Gunn appeared on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. Gunn also played a part in the show Numbered Day, which is an audio-based podcast that consists of four audio plays. The love story between Walter White and his wife Skyler is often the backbone of the plot in Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and its eventual demise arguably mirroring the same arc of Walter White's last years of his life.
