Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and has been the recipient of many awards at both national and internationally. She has been a consultant to numerous government agencies and governments across the world on policies and research concerning child victims in the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center - formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
