Anika Rose, born in the year 2000 is an American singer and actress. Her most well-known role is Tiana Disney's her first African American character as Tiana Disney's first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog. She was honored as an official Disney Legend. Rose is best known for her part as Lorrell, Robinson in Dreamgirls. Anika Noni Rose (born on September 6, 1973) is an American performer and singer. Her most well-known role is that of Tiana the first Disney African American princess from The Princess and the Frog (2009). In 2011, she was recognized as a Disney Legend. Her other notable roles include her role in the lead role of Lorrell Robinson on the Oscar-winning movie Dreamgirls (2006) and also for her role as her character LaVerne JUKEBOX Ganner in The Starz program Power. The stage performances she has performed are well-known as well, especially her role as Emmie Thbodeaux from Caroline or Change, a Broadway production of the musical Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actress in a Musical. She was also nominated to win an award for the Tony Award Best Featured actor in a production of the Broadway revival A Raisin in the Sun.
